Founded in 2000, Centro Ballena Azul (CBA) is a Chilean scientific organization dedicated to marine research, conservation, and applied innovation to protect marine biodiversity and coastal ecosystems.

Our mission is to transform scientific knowledge into practical solutions that support marine conservation, sustainable ocean management, and evidence-based decision-making. Today, we are advancing a new strategic initiative focused on the satellite tracking and monitoring of marine mammals, generating critical data and early warning systems that help reduce risks, prevent vessel collisions, and promote the safe coexistence of marine wildlife and human activities along Chile's coastline.

We collaborate with companies, government agencies, universities, research institutions, foundations, NGOs, and coastal communities, building strategic partnerships that generate measurable environmental, social, and scientific impact.

Our core capabilities include:
• Applied marine research and biodiversity monitoring.
• Satellite tagging and tracking of marine mammals.
• Species distribution, habitat use, and spatial analysis.
• Marine monitoring and early warning systems for risk management.
• Scientific consulting and technical advisory services.
• Biodiversity, sustainability, and ESG programs.
• Environmental education, science communication, and citizen science.
• Corporate volunteering and community engagement initiatives.
• Collaborative research, conservation, and innovation projects.

We believe that protecting the ocean requires science, collaboration, and innovation. By connecting research, technology, and strategic partnerships, we develop practical solutions that strengthen marine conservation, support sustainable development, and contribute to healthier oceans for future generations.
