John Martinen has extensive experience in real estate and construction, currently serving as the broker-owner and CEO at Century 21 Advanced Realty since October 1989. Martinen also operates as a property manager for Century 21 Property Management, managing rental properties while overseeing tenant relations and property maintenance. As a licensed builder at Martinen Construction Company since June 1971, Martinen has constructed over 300 homes and co-developed five subdivisions, in addition to working on various commercial and educational projects in southwest Michigan. Earlier in the career, Martinen taught high school English at Coldwater, MI Public Schools for two years. Education includes a BA in English and French from Hillsdale College, following two years of general studies at Michigan State University.
