Erik Södersten

Erik Södersten is currently the Project Lead R&D at Cepheid, where they lead the development of pioneering host response IVD tests for the GeneXpert platform. They have a robust background in research, having served as a postdoctoral researcher at Ludwig Cancer Research and the Biotech Research & Innovation Centre (BRIC) at the University of Copenhagen, where they focused on neuroscience and bioinformatics. Erik completed their PhD at Karolinska Institutet, where their research centered on brain development using neural stem cells. They hold a Master of Science in Biotechnology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and completed a master's project in Microbiology at The University of British Columbia.
