Michael Declue

Michael DeClue is an accomplished leader in the field of chemistry and R&D with extensive experience in developing innovative technologies for PCR applications at Cepheid, where roles have included Sr. Director, Director, and R&D Project Manager. Noteworthy contributions include the investigation of nucleic acid analogs and enhanced PCR applications, as well as managing projects for oligonucleotide products in diagnostics. Prior to Cepheid, Michael held important scientific positions in organizations such as PhaseRx Pharmaceuticals and Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on siRNA therapeutics and nucleic acid synthesis. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from UC San Diego, an MBA from the UW Foster School of Business, and a B.S. in Chemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
