Mike Moriarty is an experienced quality engineer with a strong background in medical device development and assurance. Currently serving as a Staff NPI Quality Engineer at Cepheid since November 2018, Mike leads design quality for the GeneXpert In-Vitro Diagnostic medical device. Previously, Mike held the position of Design Assurance Manager at Boston Scientific, where management of a team of engineers focused on the development and post-market surveillance of HD-IVUS coronary catheters occurred. Prior roles include Principal QA Specialist at ACIST Medical Systems, Sr. Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services, and Product Assurance Manager at Hospira, where Mike directed crucial validation programs for electro-mechanical medical devices. Additionally, Mike has experience as a Logistics and Reliability Engineer at Lockheed Martin from 1987 to 2000. Mike holds a degree from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
