Andrew Lauer

Andrew Lauer is a Perception Software Engineer at Cepton since June 2025, specializing in technology related to LiDAR and imaging. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Andrew taught a course focused on CPU implementation and provided support for students in digital logic. Andrew also completed an internship at Cepton, developing a calibration pipeline, and participated in a Robotics Software Internship at Amazon, where Andrew contributed to a new robotic system for warehouse operations. Earlier internships include positions at Raven Industries and KBR, Inc., focusing on software engineering and AWS solutions.
