Subbu Iyer

Subbu Iyer is the Vice President of Product Management at Cequence Security. Subbu has over 10 years of experience in product management and has worked with some of the biggest names in tech, including Oracle, Bluebox Security, and Zscaler Inc.

Iyer’s career in product management began at Juniper Networks in 2008 where they quickly rose through the ranks to become a Manager within 4 years. In 2012, they left Juniper to join Zscaler Inc. as their Director of Product Management. After just one year at Zscaler, Iyer was snapped up by Bluebox Security where they spent the next 3 years as their VP of Product Management.

In 2016, Iyer joined Oracle as their Senior Director of Product Management. Subbu was responsible for leading Oracle’s security business and grew it significantly during their time there. Some of their notable achievements include conceptualizing and initiating the design of Oracle’s Security Center, leading the product strategy for Oracle’s new zero-trust security proxy service, and increasing customer growth and adoption of Palerra’s CASB acquisition integrated with Oracle SaaS apps.

Iyer left Oracle in 2019 to join Cequence Security as their VP of Product Management. Subbu is currently responsible for leading Cequence’s product management team and driving the company’s product strategy forward.

Subbu Iyer has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona. Subbu also has a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from VJTI, University of Mumbai.

Subbu Iyer reports to Ameya Talwalkar, President, Chief Executive Officer & founder. They work with Vishal Chauhan - VP, Customer Success, Mischa Travers - CFO & General Counsel, and Anil Pochiraju - Vice President, Customer Success.
