Maya James is an experienced professional with a diverse background in administration, program management, and content creation. Currently serving as an Executive Administrative Assistant at CERA Solutions since November 2019, Maya supports key stakeholders in the Transit Capital Partners Joint Venture for significant Chicago Transit Authority projects. As the Founder and Chief Curating Officer of Maya Loves LLC since January 2019, Maya also engages in freelance writing and editing, contributing to various news platforms. Prior roles include Civic Reporting Fellow at City Bureau, Manager of Office and Daily Operations at the Chicago Architecture Center, and several positions focused on administrative and financial support in different organizations. Maya holds a Master of Arts in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Science in African-American/Black Studies from Eastern Illinois University.
