Fabrizio has a background in project management, having worked on the development of artificial limbs with INAIL RTR, and they served as the Scientific Responsable in Italy for CeramTec. They earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Roma 'La Sapienza' between 1987 and 1999.
