Mathias Perslev

Mathias Perslev has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Swimming Instructor at Svømmeklubben Triton Ballerup from June 2010 to June 2012. Mathias then worked as a Ski Instructor at Schneesport Akademie Ischgl from December 2012 to April 2013.

In 2014, Mathias joined Novo Nordisk as a Studentermedarbejder, where they worked until September 2015. Mathias then went on to work at Microsoft as a Research Intern from March 2020 to June 2020.

From September 2018 to August 2019, Mathias worked as a Research Assistant at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen - DIKU. During this time, they conducted research in deep learning based medical image segmentation and sleep time-series analysis. Mathias also wrote grant applications and managed access scheduling for the AI Centre's DGX-1 deep learning GPU compute service.

Mathias continued their work at the Department of Computer Science, University of Copenhagen - DIKU as a PhD Student from August 2019. Mathias'sresearch focused on machine learning for medical applications, segmentation problems in medical image and physiological time-series domains, and spatiotemporal sleep dynamics in health and disease.

In 2022, Mathias spent some time as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Medical School. Mathias'smost recent position was as a Machine Learning Researcher at CEREBRIU, starting in May 2023.

Overall, Mathias has gained experience in various research roles, with a specific focus on machine learning in medical applications and sleep analysis.

Mathias Perslev obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in 2016. Mathias then pursued a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the same university, completing it in 2018. In 2015, they participated in a student exchange program at McGill University. Additionally, in 2012, they received a Basic Ski Instructor certification from Oure Sport & Performance, specializing in Sports and Exercise.
