The Institution has a variety of benefits that allow the community to provide care in outpatient clinics and different treatment options in relation to kidney disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. In addition, institutional activities aimed at teaching, community health and medical research are developed. In 1988, CEREHA was born in the town of Sarandí as a Nephrology and Hemodialysis service within the Wilde Sanatorium, covering a care deficit in the South zone of Greater Buenos Aires. Due to the growing demand, as of December 1992, the Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (D.P.C.A.) program began, having for that purpose the adequate infrastructure according to law. In 1999, CEREHA moved to its own Center, located on Casazza 47/49, designed and equipped with the most modern technology, which allows us to continue providing the best assistance to the community in our specialty. In 2006, activities began in the Clinical Research Area, participating in numerous multicenter studies, then published in the most prestigious scientific journals worldwide. Since its inception the activities have diversified, the facilities were expanded and the health team was nurtured by different specialists in their corresponding areas, which allowed the growth to continue, turning the Institution into a Medical Center specialized in Nephrology and Diabetology.
