Frédéric Bernardin

Frédéric Bernardin is the Chef du groupe recherche Systèmes de transport intelligents at Cerema, a position held since 2022. Previously, they managed an 12-person unit focusing on safety and mobility during adverse weather conditions and led research projects on solar thermal energy recovery in roadways. Frédéric's academic credentials include a Doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and an Habilitation to supervise research from Université Clermont Auvergne. They also served as a postdoctoral researcher at Inria and completed their military service with the Armée de l'air as an aide-de-camp to the General commanding the Air Force Schools.
