Alfred Wiesen

Alfred Wiesen has extensive work experience in the field of speech recognition and telecom applications. Alfred is currently working at Cerence Inc. as a Senior Principal Research Engineer since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Nuance as a Senior Principal Research Engineer from 2018 to 2019 and as a Senior Software Engineer from 2007 to 2018. Alfred also worked at UbiCall Communications as an Engineering Manager from 2001 to 2007, where they handled project management and customer technical support for telecom applications. Alfred held the position of Director and Group Manager at Lernout & Hauspie from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they began their career as a Software Developer at Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products in 1993, where they worked on speech compression SDKs and audio compression drivers.

Alfred Wiesen obtained a Master's degree in Engineering (telecommunication and automation) from Université libre de Bruxelles, completing their education at the institution from 1988 to 1993.
