Arne Schmitz

Arne Schmitz has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to present. Arne is currently employed at Cerence Inc. as a Principal Research Engineer since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Nuance Communications as a Principal Research Engineer and a Senior Software Engineer starting from November 2018 and September 2017 respectively. From 2012 to 2017, Arne was employed at aixigo AG as a Software Architect and a Software Developer. Their earliest work experience was at RWTH Aachen University, where they served as a Research Assistant from 2005 to 2012, and as a Student Helper from 2002 to 2005.

Arne Schmitz completed their education with a Diplom degree in Informatik and Nebenfach BWL from RWTH Aachen University, from 1999 to 2005. Arne later pursued their studies and obtained a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Informatik from the same university, from 2005 to 2012.
