Hector Llorens has extensive work experience in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and computer science research. Hector currently works as a Principal NLP Research Scientist at Cerence Inc. since October 2019. Prior to that, they held the same role at Nuance Communications from March 2017 to October 2019. Hector also worked as a Senior Research Scientist and NLP Scientist at Nuance Communications from July 2012 to March 2017. Hector's academic background includes being a Computer Science Researcher at the University of Alicante from 2007 to 2012, where they focused on Temporal Information Processing, Natural Language Processing, and Artificial Intelligence. Hector gained experience as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Rochester in 2011 and as a Pre-Doctoral Researcher at the Natural Language Processing Research Group from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they had a short research stay at the University of Sheffield Innovation in 2010 and worked as an I+D Researcher and Developer at Radiobit Sistemas S.L. from 2004 to 2006, where they specialized in web development, hardware programming, and GPRS technology.

Hector Llorens has a comprehensive education history in Computer Science. Hector holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Alicante, which they obtained in 2011. Prior to their PhD, they completed a Master's degree in Hardware and Embedded Computing in 2007 at the same university. In addition, they earned an Engineer degree in Computer Science from the University of Alicante in 2006.

Throughout their academic journey, Hector also pursued further research opportunities. Hector completed a Research Certificate program at the University of Rochester in 2011 and another Research Certificate program at the University of Sheffield in 2010.

Furthermore, Hector has recently obtained certifications in "Developing Your Emotional Intelligence" and "Applied AI: Building NLP Apps with Hugging Face Transformers" from LinkedIn, although specific dates are not available.
