Lia Croci is an accomplished language and speech scientist with extensive experience in the field of linguistics and language technology. From November 2019 to May 2020, Lia served as a Siri Grading Analyst at Apple, specializing in German and Italian languages. Since May 2022, Lia has been with Cerence Inc. as a Senior Speech Scientist and previously held the position of Speech Scientist, focusing on language model development and product R&D engineering. Lia holds a CELTA Certificate from Stafford House International and a Master’s degree in Italianistics and Linguistic Sciences, achieved with top honors, from Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna. Additionally, Lia earned a Bachelor's degree in Intercultural Linguistic Mediation from Università di Bologna and attended Heidelberg University for studies in Language Interpretation and Translation.
