Head Of Manufacturing Engineering at Ceres

Lee Rees has a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering field. Lee began their career at Ricardo in 1997 as a Senior Design Engineer, where they managed small teams and was responsible for delivering engineering solutions on various projects. Lee also served as a Hardware Coordinator and a Technical Support Analyst during their time at Ricardo.

In 2011, Rees joined Ceres as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, leading the design, development, and testing of solid oxide fuel cell stack at the 1kW product level. Lee introduced innovative interconnect component design to improve stack performance and reliability. Rees was promoted to Principal Engineer in 2018, serving as a recognized technical expert and leader within the company, supporting and leading key projects.

In 2020, Rees became the Head of In-Service Support Department at Ceres, managing a team of 13 engineers and leading the growing product portfolio. Lee worked closely with internal and external partners to enhance product reliability, reduce yield losses, and improve performance.

Currently, Rees holds the role of Head of Manufacturing Engineering at Ceres, starting in 2023. The details of this role are not yet provided.

Lee Rees attended the University of Portsmouth from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a BSc(Hons) degree with First Class Honours in Engineering Studies.
