Tom Houman

Tom Houman is an experienced technology professional with a diverse background in various roles and industries. Tom began their career at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer, where they worked on projects involving distributed display management and software integration. Following this, they joined Examgen, Inc. as a Lead Developer, leading the development of exam-generating software and managing the computing infrastructure.

Tom then transitioned to SRC, where they served as a Software Engineer and Team Lead. During their time there, they led the development of the MHT Tracker project, implementing a real-time tracking system for air surveillance, ground surveillance, electronic warfare, and counterfire systems.

In 2015, Tom joined Akamai Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer, before becoming the Director of Engineering. In this role, they started the blockchain team and grew it to 25 members. Tom co-created a scalable blockchain architecture capable of over 1 million transactions per second and achieved PCI and SOC2 compliance for the blockchain payment network.

Most recently, Tom worked at Super Studios Inc. as the VP of Engineering. Tom was responsible for all tech execution, scaling up the team, and managing vendor relationships. Tom led multiple projects, including the development of a full-featured NFT marketplace and the superstudios.io website.

Currently, Tom is the Chief Technology Officer at Ceritas, where they are responsible for leading the company's technology strategy and execution.

Tom Houman has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bucknell University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Tom later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Software Engineering at Drexel University from 2009 to 2013.
