Alessandro Bartoloni

AMS "sapienza" Università & INFN Roma Group Team Leader

Alessandro Bartoloni is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and education. Currently serving as the AMS "Sapienza" università & INFN Roma group Team Leader at CERN since January 1999, Bartoloni leads efforts on the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer for studying antimatter and matter on the International Space Station. As a member of the CMS collaboration, Bartoloni contributes to one of the leading proton-proton detectors at the LHC. With a tenure at INFN since January 1990, Bartoloni has held senior roles, including Senior Applied Researcher and involvement in the APE collaboration that developed supercomputers for particle structure study. Bartoloni has also been a lecturer at Sapienza University of Rome from September 1999 to August 2011, responsible for multiple engineering courses. Bartoloni's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Sapienza University and further studies at EPFL.
