Alexandre de Moor

Machine Learning Contact For BTV & JME Groups

Alexandre De Moor is a postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel since July 2020, and serves as the Machine Learning contact for the BTV & JME groups at CERN, also beginning in July 2021. In the CMS experiment at CERN, Alexandre is the L3 convener of Software and Algorithms for the BTV group, focusing on the development and maintenance of machine learning techniques for b-tagging and vertexing. Prior experience includes working as a jeune diplômé at Université libre de Bruxelles from October 2019 to July 2020, conducting a master's thesis on the resonant production of dark matter under the supervision of Pr. Vanlaer, and completing a series of internships in gravitation, particle physics, and astrophysics. Alexandre holds a Master's degree in Physics from Université libre de Bruxelles (2017-2019) and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the same institution (2013-2017).
