Amal Sarkar currently holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship at CERN since September 2016, following a tenure as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, from August 2009 to August 2016, where research focused on the STAR experiment at RHIC and the ALICE experiment at LHC, in addition to monitoring graduate students. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Research Scholar at IIT Bombay and a Technical Manager at Nozomi Techno Pvt. Ltd in Singapore, working on CVD diamond research and development. Amal Sarkar completed a Ph.D. in Experimental Particle Physics at IIT Bombay in 2015, having also earned an M.Sc. in Physics and a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the same institution, and attended PPMGSV for higher secondary education in Science.
