Andre Henriques has extensive experience in safety and engineering, currently serving as the Technical Coordinator of CERN Safety Rules since June 2011, where responsibilities include the technical coordination of safety rule establishment and revision. Andre is also the leader of the CAiMIRA project, focused on modeling airborne viruses in enclosed spaces for risk assessment, and heads the Kryolize Project, which involves research and development in cryogenic safety and pressure relief systems. Additional roles include serving as a safety expert in HVAC systems and participating in various safety and support activities at CERN, including involvement in the CERN against COVID-19 Task Force. Prior to CERN, Andre worked as a Mechanical Engineer at ENGIPRIOR, specializing in HVAC projects and energy efficiency. Andre holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra, obtained in 2010.
