Anthony Butler is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in radiology and engineering. Currently serving as Chief Medical Officer at MARS Bioimaging Ltd and a Professor of Radiology at the University of Otago, Butler also leads the Department of Radiology in Christchurch. Additional roles include Consultant Radiologist at Canterbury District Health Board and Engineer for CERN's CMS and Medipix projects. Butler held a Research Professor position in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Canterbury until November 2021. Educational qualifications comprise a GradDipSc in Physics and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Canterbury, as well as FRANZCR certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologists, complemented by a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Otago.
