Anton Lu

Anton Lu is currently employed as a Doctoral Researcher at CERN, focusing on modeling magnetic hysteresis and eddy currents with machine learning to enhance beam performance during acceleration cycles. Previous roles include serving as a Teaching Assistant at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where responsibilities included examining Artificial Intelligence concepts, and as a Master Thesis Student at SBB CFF FFS, developing a computer vision model for defect detection in rail joints. Anton has also gained experience as a Scientific Computing Intern and Summer Student at CERN, contributing to various projects aimed at optimizing beam performance and continuous integration for distributed computing. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Technical Sciences from Technische Universität Wien and a Master of Science in Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, complemented by mobility studies at ETH Zürich and EPFL. Leadership experience includes serving as President of the student organization at KTH, overseeing significant annual activities and finances.
