Antonio Perin

Antonio Perin has extensive experience in the field of cryogenics and engineering, currently serving as the Head of Engineering and Mechanical Support Section in the TE Department at CERN since 2012. In addition, Antonio holds the positions of Chairman of the CERN Safety Policy Committee and Cryogenic Safety Officer within the Accelerator and Technology sector. His prior role at CERN from 1997 to 2011 as Project Leader involved significant contributions to the commissioning, operation, and development of the Cryogenic Powering System for the Large Hadron Collider, establishing international collaborations, and overseeing procurement of high technology devices. Earlier, from 1991 to 1997, Antonio worked as a scientific assistant at the University of Geneva, focusing on material science research. Antonio's academic credentials include a PhD in Applied Physics/Materials Science from the University of Geneva and an MSc in Physics from EPFL.
