Calum Sharp

Calum Sharp is a CERN engineer specializing in thermo-structural analysis, currently supporting the operation and development of the LHC accelerator complex. Calum holds an M.Eng. with Distinction in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, complemented by an international research project at the Universitat Politècnica de València. With experience in accelerator physics, aerospace, energy, and sustainability, Calum has a proven track record in problem-solving and systems thinking. Previously, Calum optimized composite manufacturing methods for a tier one aerospace supplier and contributed to sustainable building design with a leading consultancy. Additionally, Calum is a qualified ski instructor and a collaborative saxophonist, demonstrating effective communication and leadership skills across diverse settings.
