Chiara Marrelli

Radio Frequency Engineer

Chiara Marrelli is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in radio frequency technology and high power RF amplifiers. Marrelli began a career as a PhD student at INFN, focusing on beam transfer lines for the SPARX accelerator, before holding positions as a visiting scientist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and a research associate at the University of Manchester and CERN, working on high efficiency power sources. Marrelli further advanced to the role of radio frequency engineer and senior fellow at CERN, developing a 1 GHz high-efficiency klystron for the CLIC project. Currently, Marrelli serves as an RF engineer at the European Spallation Source, specializing in procurement, installation, and testing of 704 MHz and 352 MHz klystrons. Marrelli holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from la Sapienza and a PhD in Applied Electromagnetism from Sapienza Università di Roma.
