Clara Marques

Clara Marques is a Mechanical Engineer at CERN since September 2023, focusing on the creation of a thermo-mechanical properties database for superconducting magnets as part of the High Field Magnets R&D Programme. Previously, Clara served as a Materials and Processes Trainee at the European Space Agency from September 2022 to February 2023, where the role involved studying the creep properties of titanium alloy screws and analyzing the crystallography of ice using X-ray diffraction. An earlier experience as an Assistant Engineer Trainee at Commissariat à l'Énergie Atomique involved experimental campaigns on SiC/SiC ceramic matrix composites. Additionally, Clara gained industrial exposure through placements at ArianeGroup and summer jobs at Cora France. Clara holds an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne and has participated in exchange programs at the University of Rhode Island and Hamburg University of Technology.
