Doug Heron

Doug Heron currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the CERN Pension Fund since August 2021 and is also a Trustee Director for the Natwest Group Pension Fund and a Board Member (expert) for the Pension Reserve Fund at the Council of Europe. Prior to these roles, Doug held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Lothian Pension Fund and served as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer at Nucleus Financial. Doug's extensive experience includes roles such as Group Finance Director at Adam & Company Group Plc and Head of Finance during the strategic cooperation between Bank of China and Natwest Group. Doug has a strong educational background with degrees from the University of Glasgow and Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and professional qualifications from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and CIMA.
