Dr Alexander Lunt

Dr. Alexander Lunt is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bath since January 2019, having also served as a Co-Director at the Integrated Materials Processes and Structures Research Centre since November 2022. In addition to these roles, Dr. Lunt has been a Senior Fellow at CERN since May 2016, overseeing the Zeiss XB540 Focused Ion Beam/Scanning Electron Microscope laboratory. Previously, Dr. Lunt was a Stipendiary Lecturer at the University of Oxford from September 2012 to May 2016, focusing on undergraduate teaching and student welfare. Dr. Lunt's early career included summer internships at prominent companies such as Rolls-Royce, Fozmula Limited, and Airbus, where innovative work in materials and engineering was carried out. Dr. Lunt holds a PhD in Residual Stress Analysis and a Master of Engineering degree, both from the University of Oxford.
