Dr. Shell-May Liao is a prominent academic and researcher currently serving as the Leader of the UNESWA Radiation and Health Physics Research group at the University of Eswatini since November 2021. In addition to this role, Dr. Liao is a researcher with the Eswatini COVID-19 Research Group and has been a lecturer at the University of Swaziland since August 2019. With a solid background in particle physics research through a role at CERN, Dr. Liao has been involved in big data analysis and radiation studies since February 2015. Prior teaching experience includes instructing A-Level Physics and High School Mathematics at Bahai' High School from June 2011 to December 2013. Dr. Liao holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics and a BSc Honours in Physics from the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Swaziland.
