Francois Briard

Francois Briard has extensive experience at CERN since March 1995, currently serving as the Head of Visitor and Event Operations and Deputy Group Leader for CERN Science Gateway. In this role, Francois supports and welcomes approximately 400,000 visitors annually, overseeing over 100 events each year. Previous positions include Head of Visitor and Local Engagement, where responsibilities included organizing tours and exhibitions, as well as managing public events such as TEDxCERN. With a background in administrative computing and a transition into local communication, Francois also engages in local education and tourism activities. Additionally, Francois has been active in the arts as an improvisational comedian with Compagnie lesArts for over 20 years and holds multiple degrees from Université de Namur in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, and Economics.
