Frank Gerigk has extensive experience in accelerator physics, particularly in RF systems and beam dynamics. Currently serving as the RF Group Leader at CERN since May 2005, Frank has also held various leadership roles including Section Leader for Superconducting RF and Deputy RF Group Leader. Key responsibilities encompass the design, construction, and commissioning of Linac4 cavities, along with oversight of RF systems for CERN's Hadron linacs. Prior to the current role, Frank served as an Accelerator Physicist at STFC, focusing on beam halo development and beam dynamics for multiple projects, and as a Fellow at CERN, concentrating on cavity design and beam studies for SPL/Linac4. Frank earned a PhD in Engineering Sciences from Technische Universität Berlin, specializing in beam halo development in hadron linacs, along with a Diploma in Engineering in Electrical Engineering, emphasizing Electrodynamics.
