Giulia Bini

Giulia Bini, PhD, is a curator, art historian, and writer who is currently the Curator and Head of Arts at CERN, a position they have held since May 2025. Over the past decade, Bini's work has focused on the intersection of contemporary visual art, digital media, science, and advanced technologies, exploring how these fields redefine institutional and artistic practices. They were the founding head of program and curator for the EPFL CDH artist residency program "Enter the Hyper-Scientific" from 2021 to 2025 and have previously served as a curator and production manager at EPFL Pavilions. Bini's curatorial experience includes roles at prestigious institutions such as ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe and MAXXI Rome, and they have contributed to numerous publications and exhibitions globally. They earned their PhD from the Università Iuav di Venezia in 2017, reflecting on media theory and curatorial studies.
