Jack Heron is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in electronics and communications, holding a PhD from Durham University. Currently a Senior Fellow at CERN, Jack is involved in the Future Circular Collider project, focusing on reliability engineering. Previous roles include Senior Engineer at Babcock International Group and various R&D engineering positions at firms such as DotX Control Solutions BV and DEPsys SA. Jack's early career included a summer placement in underwriting at QBE Insurance and extensive work with solar power through SELCO Foundation, as well as engineering placements related to nuclear submarines and telecommunications infrastructure.
