Jack Heron

Research Staff

Jack Heron is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in electronics and communications, holding a PhD from Durham University. Currently a Senior Fellow at CERN, Jack is involved in the Future Circular Collider project, focusing on reliability engineering. Previous roles include Senior Engineer at Babcock International Group and various R&D engineering positions at firms such as DotX Control Solutions BV and DEPsys SA. Jack's early career included a summer placement in underwriting at QBE Insurance and extensive work with solar power through SELCO Foundation, as well as engineering placements related to nuclear submarines and telecommunications infrastructure. Jack's academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Durham and an International Baccalaureate from the International School of Geneva.
