Jens Vigen is currently the Secretary General of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) since October 2021. In addition, Jens has been serving as the Scientific Information Officer at CERN since July 1994, where responsibilities include publishing CERN Reports and involvement in developing digital library services and open access publishing models. Previous experience includes roles as Head Librarian at NTNU from January 1992 to June 1994 and as an academic librarian and biblioteksaspirant. Jens Vigen holds an MSc in Surveying from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), earned between 1985 and 1990.
