Jeremie Merlin

Jeremie Merlin is a physicist currently serving as a Staff member in the Neutrino Platform group at CERN since April 2025. Previously, Jeremie worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Seoul, specializing in the development and production of GEM detectors for the CMS muon system from June 2021 to April 2025. Prior to that, Jeremie held a similar role at INFN-Bari from June 2019 to June 2021, focusing on the GEM detector production for the CMS muon upgrade. Jeremie’s career at CERN began as a Postdoctoral Fellow from April 2016 to June 2019, overseeing the production of GE1/1 detectors for the muon end-cap system, and as a Doctoral Student from February 2013 to February 2016, contributing to the muon system of CMS. Jeremie earned a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Strasbourg, where coursework included a Master's degree and an Engineer's degree in Physics, and foundational education in Mathematics and Physics.
