Jérôme Damet is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in radiation protection and medical imaging physics. Serving as the Head of the Radiation Protection & Medical Imaging Physics Group at CHUV since October 2006, Damet has been involved in operational radiation protection at institutions such as IRA and CERN, and has held various leadership roles. Additionally, Damet has contributed to dosimetry projects aimed at ensuring the safety of patients and staff and has demonstrated a strong commitment to education through senior lecturer positions and participation in outreach programs. Current roles include Honorary Senior Research Fellow and Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Otago since August 2015, as well as collaboration with CERN's radiation protection group. Past experience includes postdoctoral research in high energy physics at CNRS and the University of Bern, where Damet engaged in neutrino physics experiments. Damet holds a PhD in High Energy Physics from Uppsala University.
