Klaus Hanke

Staff Accelerator Physicist

Klaus Hanke is a Staff Accelerator Physicist at CERN and serves as the Chair of the Technical Infrastructure Working Group for the FCC study. Previously, Klaus was a PhD student at DESY from 1994 to 1997, where they contributed to the setup and commissioning of the TESLA test facility and developed innovative beam diagnostics. At CERN, Klaus held various roles, including Technical Student and Fellow, focusing on beam instrumentation and optics modeling. Klaus earned a Diplom Physiker in Experimental Physics from RWTH Aachen and a Dr. rer. nat. in Accelerator Physics from Universität Hamburg.
