Mario Lassnig is a computing engineer at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) since 2006, specializing in computing for large-scale sciences. Prior to this role, Mario worked as a software engineer at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH from 2004 to 2006, focusing on software development for automotive and mobile navigation. Additionally, Mario served as a system administrator at Alpen-Adria-Universität between 2002 and 2004, where responsibilities included software development for SmartCard cryptography and access control, as well as administration of Linux and Solaris systems. Mario holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Universität Innsbruck and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Universität Klagenfurt.
