Mark Boland

Collaboration Board Member, Future Circular Collider Feasibility Study

Mark Boland is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics at the University of Saskatchewan, where responsibilities also include serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the University Club. Boland holds the position of Vice Chair for the Division of Physics of Beams at the American Physical Society and has been actively involved with CERN as a Collaboration Board Member for various feasibility studies since June 2019. Additional roles include board memberships for the André E. Lalonde AMS Laboratory and the Scientific Advisory Board at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Boland has also contributed as an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and served as Chair for the International Particle Accelerator Conference in 2019. Previous experience includes significant roles in accelerator physics at the Australian Synchrotron and the Canadian Light Source Inc. Boland earned a PhD in Physics and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Melbourne.
