Mark Rayner

Mark Rayner is an experienced editor currently serving as Editor at CERN Courier and as an Editor for CERN since March 2024. Previously, Rayner held the position of Insights Lead for Education, Skills and Learning at the World Economic Forum from December 2021 to January 2024, contributing to the Reskilling Revolution initiative. Rayner has a substantial background at CERN, where roles included Deputy Editor and Associate Editor for CERN Courier, as well as Senior Fellow from January 2019 to December 2021. Prior to that, Rayner taught physics and mathematics at the International School of Geneva and held academic positions at Université de Genève and Worcester College, Oxford. Rayner completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Particle Physics at the University of Oxford, where previous studies culminated in a Master of Physics degree.
