Max Hart

Visiting PHD Student

Max Hart is a dedicated researcher currently serving as a Visiting PhD Student at CERN since August 2023, where work is focused on high-energy physics. Prior experience includes a research internship at Imperial College London, contributing to the efficiency of event reconstruction for b-quark decays at the CMS detector, and a role as a Data Scientist at LendDirect. Max has also interned at Vortexa, applying machine learning techniques to maritime vessel forecasting, and completed a summer research internship at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, modeling plasma profiles in the MAST reactor. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in High Energy Physics from UCL, a Master of Science in Statistics with Distinction from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics with First Class Honours from the same institution, complemented by outstanding A-level results in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics from Ashby School.
