Oliver Bruning

Deputy HL-LHC Prject Leader

Oliver Bruning is currently the Deputy HL-LHC Project Leader at CERN, where they have been involved in various leadership roles since 2020. Previously, they served as the HL-LHC Project Leader and Group Leader of the CERN Accelerator and Beam Physics Group, focusing on accelerator design and operation support. From 2008 to 2011, Oliver held the position of Chair of the Accelerator Group at the European Physical Society, organizing international accelerator conferences. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a PhD in Physics from the University of Hamburg.
