Paola Tropea

Paola Tropea is a seasoned professional at CERN since October 2003, currently serving as the CMS Technical Coordinator and previously as the CMS Deputy Technical Coordinator. Tropea leads the Fluidic Systems section in the Experimental Physics Department, overseeing the Gas systems and Detector Cooling Projects, facilitating collaboration across various CERN experiments, and managing agreements, work-packages, budgeting, and scheduling. Prior to these roles, Tropea worked as a project engineer for the cooling systems of the CMS Tracker detector and held positions at EPFL focused on thermo-mechanical testing and numerical simulations. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova, completed in 2000.
