Paul Lecoq

Paul Lecoq serves as the Chief Executive Officer of METACRYSTAL SA and has been a Doctor Honoris Causa at the Polytechnic University of Valencia since March 2023. As a Distinguished Professor, Paul Lecoq is involved in establishing a laboratory focused on metamaterial-based scintillators and photodetectors aimed at advancing ionization radiation detectors for various applications including medical imaging and nuclear safety. An Honorary Member of CERN since 1974, Paul Lecoq holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from Grenoble University, where studies took place under the guidance of Nobel Laureate Louis Néel. With prior roles including Senior Physicist at CERN and co-CEO of Multiwave Metacrystal SA, Paul Lecoq has an extensive background in developing advanced detection technologies across multiple fields.
