Sasa Lazovic is an accomplished professional in the field of physics, currently serving as Deputy Director and Research Professor at the Institute of Physics Belgrade since July 2011. Sasa Lazovic has also held the position of Head at the Biomimetics Laboratory within the same institute since 2016. As an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission since January 2016 and a HEPTech Board Member at CERN since 2014, Sasa Lazovic contributes significantly to scientific evaluation and advancement. From March 2018 to February 2023, responsibilities included serving as Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, focusing on the science sector. Previous roles include Head of the Innovation Center at the Institute of Physics Belgrade and membership in the UN Resolution 1540 Working Group. Sasa Lazovic's research experience spans postdoctoral research at the Jozef Stefan Institute, with expertise in plasma reactors and applications in biomedical fields, as well as visiting research positions at leading international institutions.
