Simon Albright

Applied physicist

Simon Albright is an applied physicist with experience at CERN, where responsibilities included conducting longitudinal beam dynamics studies and contributing to the LIU-PSB and LIU-IONS teams post-Long Shutdown 2 upgrades. Prior to this role, Simon served as a PhD candidate at the University of Huddersfield, focusing on the use of low-energy particle beams for neutron generation. Additionally, Simon worked as a tour guide and teaching assistant at Lancaster University, providing insight into physics research to prospective students and assisting first-year students with coursework problem-solving. Simon holds a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Huddersfield and a Bachelor's degree from Lancaster University, both with honors.
