Simone Ragoni

Alice Collaboration

Simone Ragoni is a writer and postdoctoral researcher at Creighton University and CERN, respectively, focusing on particle physics. At Creighton, Simone published an outreach book titled “Become a particle physicist in eight simple moves," detailing the life and discoveries of particle physicists. As a postdoctoral researcher at CERN, Simone is involved in Ultraperipheral Collisions (UPCs) for the ALICE Experiment and the EMCAL subdetector. A member of the ALICE Collaboration since Master’s thesis studies, Simone has held various roles including teaching assistant at the University of Birmingham and completed a PhD in Nuclear Physics there.
