Simone Scarfì is a Digital Design and Verification Engineer at CERN since March 2016, contributing to critical projects such as the ALTIROC3 ASIC for the ATLAS High-Granularity Timing Detector upgrade. Responsibilities include leading verification efforts, developing UVM testbenches, and creating reference models for ASIC performance evaluation. Simone has also developed multiple digital-on-top ASICs for the CMS Outer Tracker upgrade, focusing on radiation hardness and low power consumption. With a strong foundation in both digital design and verification, expertise spans RTL design, verification strategies, and characterizing ASICs under various radiation tests. Educational achievements include a PhD from EPFL in Microsystems and Microelectronics, supplemented by multiple Master's degrees in Micro and Nanotechnologies from prestigious institutions.
